Prerequisites
The course is a continuation of Methodology I and II, Fundamentals of Psychological Assessment and other courses concerning personality structure and traits. It is followed by the courses of Psychological Assessment of Children and Adolescents, Psychotherapy, etc.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present a systematic overview of psychological assessment metods and briefly introduce the principles of their construction and psychometric properties. The general purpose is to provide students with instruments for the exploration of human mind.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be acquainted with psychological assessment terminology, and will be able to plan and implement the assessment procedure, select and apply appropriate assessment methods in accordance with the ethical standards, and write a report based on the psychological examination of a patient/client.
Syllabus
  • Clinical methods - observation, interview, anamnesis, analysis of spontaneous products. Anamnestic interview; psychological finding. Neuropsychological batteries and methods. Psychodiagnostics of intellectual abilities. Psychodiagnostics of attention and memory. Personality psychodiagnostics (objective personality tests).
