Course objectives
The aim is to acquire competence in a second (non-native) language in which international research in the field is conducted.
Learning outcomes
The student will acquire language competence in a second, non-native, language of international research (especially German or English, or another according to the specific research focus or dissertation topic) in its application to one of the basic attributes of scientific work: consulting an authority in the field about a selected research problem.
Syllabus
  • In this course, the student will demonstrate their knowledge of specialist terminology in one of the world languages in consulting a foreign expert about a selected problem, to whom the student will present their research and with whom they will competently discuss it.
Literature
  • The literature is assigned individually according to the issues under discussion.

Teaching methods
The course is in the form of individual consultations with the supervisor, and the final consultation will be conducted with a pre-selected foreign expert in the presence of the supervisor.
Assessment methods
Credit is awarded by the supervisor on the basis of demonstration of the relevant language competence.
