Course objectives
The aim is to complete a long (usually one semester long) study visit at a foreign university or research institution of the student’s choice, which is based on an agreement with the supervisor and within the framework of one of the available scholarship programmes (Erasmus, inter-state cultural agreements, etc.).
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student will be able to apply in their research the acquired practical foreign experience and skills that correspond to the level of his/her qualifications, to communicate with colleagues from foreign institutions in a foreign language, i.e. in a non-native language for the student and, upon returning to the home institution, to share his/her experience of visiting the foreign institution. When undertaking a study visit at a foreign university, the student will gain experience primarily from seminar work conducted within the framework of a different educational tradition.
Syllabus
  • The student will gather and study materials for their dissertation at the foreign institution, prepare particular chapters, consult with foreign experts, and, where need be, attend lectures offered by the host institution. Upon the student’s return, he/she will submit a report to their supervisor.
Literature
  • Odborná literatura vyplývá ze zaměření studijního pobytu.
  • The literature is assigned individually.
Teaching methods
The student chooses the specific content of his/her visit in agreement with his/her supervisor based on the offer of the foreign institution.

Credit is awarded on the basis of the student’s fulfilment of the pre-agreed plan for the visit.
