Course objectives
Modern Greek traditions, their relation to their Classical roots, the annual cycle of holy days and folklore festivals: folk songs, sayings, fairy tales, the relation of folklore to Modern Greek literature; reading texts.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Novořecké zvykosloví, jeho vztah k antickým kořenům. Roční cyklus svátků a folklorní slovesnost - lidové písně, přísloví, pohádky. Vztah folklorní slovesnosti k novořecké literatuře. Četba textů.
