Kurz je zaměřen na teorii bádání o mýtu a rituálu a objasňuje význam tohoto směru bádání pro religionistiku. Pozornost je věnována různým, historicky vzniklým teoriím mýtu a ritualu, problematice jejich funkcí a vzájemného vztahu.
