Course objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to introduce themselves formally in Japanese, as well as engage in elementary conversation and express their ideas in basic Japanese. They will be able to actively use the Japanese syllabary alphabet hiragana.
Syllabus
  • basic formal expressions
  • self-introduction
  • vocabulary- family members, numbers, weekdays
  • expressions of „like“ and „please“
  • explanation and drilling of hiragana
  • verbs

Teaching methods
Initial theoretical explanation combined with practical drills in language and writing.
Assessment methods
The final examination will have a written form, which will summarize the expressions and grammar learned throughout the course. The examination will focus on student's mastery of hiragana.
