Main objectives of the course:
At the end of this course, the students should be able to:
- be familiar with relevant grammar
- be familiar with relevant vocabulary
- apply the acquired knowledge in reading selected passages from ancient Chinese texts and translate the texts
- formulate basic contextual interpretation of a selected text

Teaching methods
Contents of the semester:
reading longer passages selected from ancient Chinese texts (Mengzi, Hanfeizi), grammar explanation, exercises, homeworks
Assessment methods
Requirements for the credit:
(a) active participation in seminars;
(b) written test (min. 60 p./max. 100 p.); content: translation, gramar tasks, writing characters, structure conversions
