Course objectives
The discipline is conceived as a one-semester course, including 28 hours of seminar instruction and 12 hours of workshops.
The aim and content of the course is the acquisition of the defining principles of active teaching of Czech literature demonstrated in guided discussion based on mock student outcomes. Within the framework of these activities, secondary school textbook literature is also compared and the specifics of the discussion of individual thematic units, including the discussion of didactic topics in the application to the teaching of literature, are drawn out; the didactic potential of artistic texts is thus exploited and the emphasis on the artistic text is profiled in the assignment of the outputs and their reflection. The general aim is that the teaching of didactics in the field should not lose its aesthetic-educational focus, specifically leading to the elimination of descriptive doctrinalism, to reading (and its reflection) and to production (construction and reconstruction of texts). Teaching methods
Discussion on different models of an active lesson.
Discussion on a critical reflection of a selected studying material.
Assessment methods
A prerequisite for admission to the exam is active work in the seminar and the realization of a student's mock performance on a selected literary topic. After the performance in the seminar, the student will incorporate the teacher's comments into the final version of the preparation and comparison of the textbooks, which will be sent to him/her by e-mail in advance of the colloquium/exam. Acceptance of the preparation and critical comparison of the textbooks is indicated in the notebook. It is not allowed to proceed to the examination without this notation in the notebook.
The examination includes a discussion of a doctrinally oriented article in the journal Czech Language and Literature, and the problem areas reflected in the seminar are examined. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
