Course objectives
The Compendium for Teachers course deals with topics which can be found as useful in pre-gradual preparation of future teachers. It complements courses School Pedagogy and Didactics. Forms of active and open learning will be emphasized during the course.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
a) understand the teaching profession in wider perspective,
b) Apply the knowledge gained in Compendium in own practice.
c) Discuss some issues of the Czech school system using relevant arguments and research results.

  • Osnova pro semestr 2019: 1. Parents as Participants of School Life (Mgr. Renata Skýpalová, Ph.D.) 2. A story of good practice: jhow to become an award-winning teacher (Mgr. Martin Bublák) 3. Administrative agenda in teacher´s practice (Mgr. Klára Holíková) 4. Mentoring as a support for beginning teachers(Mgr. Lucie Škarková, Ph.D.) 5. . How to talk for the whole classroom and not become hoarse (doc. Jana Frostová, Ph.D.)
Literature
Teaching methods
Each lecture is associated with a seminar session where students are expected to actively participate.
Assessment methods
Written test containing five open-ended questions concerning the topics dealt with in class instruction. The purpose of the questions is to verify understanding of the subject matter, the ability to apply the knowledge gained in a similar area and the ability to critically assess individual theories. The minimum of 66 points out of the maximum of 100 points is required to successfully pass the test.
