  • Introductory information meeting - students are given all the information about the whole course of the internship and the final meeting. Fulfillment of internship objectives depending on the specific facility. Completion of the 200-hour interpreting internship. 200hrs. of direct interpreting is divided as follows: 35% interpreting in education (70hrs.) Interpreting in education is considered interpreting at the level of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, universities. Interpreting can take place both in inclusive and special schools. 30% community interpreting (60hrs) Community interpreting is considered for this purpose to be interpreting for a private person at a face-to-face meeting. Typical examples are interpreting at the doctor's office, in court and at the office. 35% unspecified interpreting (70 hours) Unspecified interpreting is chosen by the student. It is advantageous to include in this category interpreting in which the student wishes to specialise in his/her professional field. A certain part of direct interpreting can be replaced by translation, but not more than 25% (50 hours). 4) Final meeting - students will present to each other, through short presentations, the facility where they have completed their internship, briefly describe their activities and the experience gained. Prior to the final meeting (at least 3 days before), students will hand in their internship diary and interpreting diary for evaluation, which will be returned to them. The final meeting will be announced at the same time as the credit deadline.
