Course objectives
The course allows for the application of knowledge from Music Didactics to create games aimed at developing musicianship and musical literacy. General rules for the games serve as a foundation for the final form of the game, which is designed to accurately align with the teaching objectives of the given topic. The games are created to reinforce concepts from Music Theory (such as the creation of scales, intervals, chords, awareness of figures in music history, musical terminology, and Italian nomenclature, etc.).
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Reflect more deeply on topics in Music Theory in terms of their function in teaching.
- Adapt the rules of games to meet the needs of musical activities suitable for developing musicianship and musical literacy.
- Create their own game rules that correspond to specific teaching objectives.
