Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the basic features of Ukrainian historical geography; understand the problems of contemporary politics and economy; learn the history of culture in juxtaposition to the history of Ukraine; learn the history of culture from the old times to the 20th century; (using of audiovisual technique in the course; the students choose a subject of the papers according to their interests)

  • The Renaissance, baroque and classicism art and architecture
  • The music of the 18th to the 20th centuries
  • The art and architecture of the 19th century

Assessment methods
The colloquium - a written test, an individual final project: a paper on a theme chosen individually: 9000 signs, a list of the used literature and an abstract written in one of the world languages - different from the language of the paper.
