Course objectives
The exam paper is to check the student’s abilities regarding a given topic in the field of language, literature, or translation. It is to be written immediately before the state examination, students are therefore to enroll in the same semester during which they are taking the state examination. Examination dates are published in the IS.
Syllabus
  • Students are to choose one of 4 topics (two in literary, one in language, one in translation, supplemented with a stylistic analysis). Bilingual dictionaries are permitted for the translation topic, monolingual dictionaries only are allowed for all of the others. The exam paper (in French) is allotted 3 hours of writing time.
