Course objectives

Select chapters from the history of the French novel in the second half of the XXth century. Analaysis of some important new conceptions in the works of Mauriac, Butor, Duras, Modiano, Echenoz, Michon.

Syllabus (in Czech)

• Výběrová přednáška sledující a analyzující nové románové koncepce a techniky v románové tvorbě 20. století z pohledu literárněhistorického i literárněteoretického, bude věnována rozboru vybraných děl:F. Mauriac: La Pharisienne, jako reakce na Sartrovu kritiku, M. Buter: La Modification, jako příklad uspořádání románového prostoru a času, M. Duras: Moderato Cantabile, jako způsob nepřímého sdělení intimního prožitku pod vlivem "nového románu", P. Modiano: Le livret de famille, jako příklad prchavé autofikce, J. Ěchenoz: Je m'en vais,jako obraz prchavé relaity ve psojení s průniky narrativních linií, P. Michon: Vies minuscules, jako návrat k příběhovosti v románu. Výklad bude spojen s analýzami vybraných textů.

• Další literaturu zadá vyučující v průběhu výuky.
