Course objectives
The course has the goal to teach the students to lead and present various methods of linguistic research (especially sociolinguistic) and also to perfection their knowledge of formal structure and stylistic aspects of a research thesis.

  • - Sociolinguistic variation - Dichotomy written-spoken - Transcription of the spoken word - transcription conventions - Interview, questionnary, observation - typology of surveys - Citation norms - Structure of scholarly work - Presentation of one's own results
