Course objectives
The main aim of the curse is the acquisition of a theoretical knowledege and understanding for teaching history at secondary school level. On the basis of this acquired knowledge it will be possible to interpret secondary school material and its transference to pupils, being able to verify if the pupils are understanding the subject, alternative educational methods, extra-school activities etc.
Syllabus
  • 1) Teaching in separate standard secondary schools, curriculum structure
  • 2) Content approach to the teaching of history, borders and continuity with other subjects, historical science in an auxilliary role
  • 3) Teaching methods, organisation of lessons
  • 4) Special approaches, seminar style work, teaching plans
  • 5) Assessing and evaluating students’ knowledge in the teaching of history
  • 6) Educational and behavioural role of the teacher in history lessons, the practical duties of a secondary-school teacher
  • 7) Analysis of graduates’ teaching experiences in a pedagogical framework
