Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
- to understand primary texts of Czech-Latin medieval hagiography and historiography
- to be able to distinguish the specific features of these genres
- to get acquainted with specific lexis and language of these texts
- to get acqainted with literary qualities of these texts
- to read and analyse poetry within these texts: metrics, rhythm.
