Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand the concept of "lieux de mémoire" to learn the shared cultural history of Vienna and Brno to know Czech lieux de mémoire in Vienna and German lieux de mémoire in Brno to find transnational lieux de mémoire in Brno as a group project to prepare and present the conclusions of this project The course is held in cooperation with the Department of Slavonic Studies at the University of Vienna and will be organised partly as block course in Vienna and Brno.
