Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to identify characteristics of different periods in history of music education in the Czech lands and to characterize the position of Music didactics in the music pedagogy. They can use various musical events for training lessons.
Syllabus
  • 1. Music education in Czech lands from the beginning to the 17th century. Specific methods of music didactics - music theory.
  • 2. Music education in Czech lands from the 18th to the 19th century. Specific methods of music didactics - harmony and counterpoint.
  • 3. Music education in Czech lands in the 20th century. Specific methods of music didactics - music history.
  • 4. Current state of didactics in Czech lands. Specific methods of music didactics - music forms, music listening.
