Course objectives

The harmony course follows the textbook by Jaroslav Kofroň Učebnice harmonie (Harmony manual). It includes the basic rules of bass and melody harmonization with use of triads. Apart from practical skills - elaboration of exercises and their reproduction on the piano - a stress is laid upon the ability to use the acquired knowledge for analysis of musical material.

Assessment methods
