Course objectives
At the end of the course, the students should be able to understand the essential concepts in the general methodology of the science and musicology in particular. They will learn to interpret selected texts on methodology of musicology and to apply the theoretical concepts in a methodological analysis of the musicological writing.

Assessment methods
The studetns are supposed to attend the class exercieses to participate in reading and interpretation of texts. They have to submit a written essay in the form of a professional review of a musicological book. The final exam has the form of a written test.
