Course objectives
The seminar concentrates on the investigation of each stages of the "battle" of the modern Czech music. The individual student research work will be oriented towards topics which join the analysis of music structure together with the investigation of contemporary reception patterns, structures of perception and music aesthetic discourse with the emphasis on "Czechness", "modernity" and "avantgarde". The material includes Czech music production of 19th and 20th centuries.
