Course objectives
The aim is to introduce students of librarianship into the current state of practice of reference services. The reference services belong to the basic library services. They are performed by specialists with university education in the Information and Library Studies. Course objectives for the full-time studies: to give the students the possibility to make acquaintance with the reference services by the managed practice by means of reference desks at the Central library of the Faculty of Arts. This is done during the full operation; in the course of the practice the students learn to fulfil the meaning of reference services: how to gain the required information; the library specialists make, during the practice, the students acquainted with the library activities, in the course Reference services 2 it is the subject cataloguing Course objectives for the combined studies: to give the students the possibility of trying out the reference services activities by the solution of the task to find out the informations
