Course objectives
The subject aims at passing the exam in professional language French. The student is required to have read French professional literature from the respective area of law in the extent of 200 pages at least. The topic of the exam is related to the particular specialization of the student. At the exam the student should prove that he/she is able to read fluently and understand a text, to understand a professional talk and to speak about issues relating to the given area of law. Generally, he/she is supposed to be able to communicate in ordinary life situations.
Syllabus
  • The exam has an oral form. The student reads a text from the professional literature he has studied. Comprehension is verified by the students translating and re-telling the content in French and by the examiners questions. The speaking skill is verified by the students explanation in French of issues related to his/her scholarly discipline, dissertation and professional prospects. By the examiners questions the students monologue changes in a dialogue.
