Cíle předmětu
Research Methodology course is focused on introduction into scientific research in law and legal science. The course deals with formal and structural issues related to legal research, including differences between doctrinal and empirical research. The goal of the course is to present to student main formal rules, patterns and conventions related to legal research.
Výstupy z učení
After successfully completing course, student is able to:
- Describe and explain specific methods of legal analysis;
- Understand theoretical and empirical elements of legal theory;
- Prepare analysis of position of law in society;
- Analyze actual trends in legal research;
- Identify actual trends in law and legal research.

  • 1. Specific approaches to science in law – legal science; relations between law and science. Locating the field of legal research.
  • 2. Data sources – legal science, judiciary, legislation. Primary and secondary data. Primary data collection methods. Secondary data collection methods.
