Course objectives
The aim is to develop understanding and critical thinking of peaceaful means of settlement of disputes in international law.
Learning outcomes
Doctoral student will enhance his or her level of argumentation concerning peaceful settlement of disputes in international law. He or she will also gain a better understanding of the strategy and importance of choice amongst various means of settlement of disputes in the concrete case.

Teaching methods
Self-study, consultation and discussion, problem-solving.
Assessment methods
1. An essay of 10 pages (in English) concerning a recent trend or topic in the field of international dispute settlement. 2. Problem-solving: the proposal for resolution of a model or real international dispute or conflict. The text of 5 pages (in English).
