Course objectives
Human rights protection in international scale. International documents (General Declaration of HR, UN Covenants 1966, UN Committee for HR). European regional HR protection outside EU: Council of Europe, European Convention and its enforcement mechanism (European court in Strasbourg). Human Rights Protection at the EU level.
Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of international human rights. - Student will be able to identify the controversial points in the field of international human rights. - Student will be able to critically think on international human rights. -Student will understand the relation of international human rights to domestic law.
