Course objectives
The purpose of the course is not to provide to students detailed knowledge of international and EU intellectual property law, but make them able to understand following problems: 1. Purpose of international regulation (overcoming of territoriality limitation of protection). 2. Purpose of EU regulation (creation of the proper EU protection titles). EU competences in this area. 3. Why international and European regulation are inevitable (europeanisation and globalization of economics). 4. Relationship between international, European and national regulations.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to distinguish between national, international and European method of regulation and protection and to determine, which of them s relevant in a particular case.
