Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain deeper knowledge about the development of the state and law in the period of the Second Czechoslovak Republic and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
Learning outcomes
- To look up and examine current legal historical topics by using scientific methods;
- to evaluate in a timely manner some later legal regulations, including the applicable law, whilst using the knowledge about development of legal institutions;
- to organize and write down the collected data, interpret the results achieved, present the findings and defend them in relevant forum;
- to deepen continually the student’s knowledge of the discipline.
Syllabus
  • The Munich Agreement and its nullity;
  • Constitutional changes and changes in the state apparatus of the Second Czechoslovak Republic;
  • Fascist tendencies in the legal order of the Second CSR;
  • Legal nature of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia;
  • The system of bodies of state in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia;
  • Legal system in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia;
  • Changes in the main branches of law;
  • Exile system of government.
Teaching methods
As a teaching method, there is an individual study of assigned expert literature and eventually individual expert consultations with lecturers.
Assessment methods
Credits by reaching the given degree of knowledge and by active attendance at consultations.
