Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce law students into the system of Latin morphology and the rudiments of syntax so that they could read simple Latin texts and look up any Latin legal term. A written examination at the end of the two-term course.
Syllabus
  • Comparative and superlative of adjectives and adverbs. Present subjunctives. Active present participle. Gerundivum and gerundium. Active past system. Supinum and passive past system. Ablativ absolute. Infinitive forms.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Seminární výuka v celkovém rozsahu 2 semestry. Podmínkou přístupu ke kolokviu je účast a aktivní práce na seminářích a úspěšný závěrečný test. Kolokvium písemné, překlad z latiny do češtiny (souvislý pramenný text) s pomocí slovníku.
