Cíle předmětu
At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand and be able to explain the basic concepts of American criminal law as related to victim rights;
make reasoned decisions and deductions about crime victim psyche and trauma and unique issues that both prosecutors and defense attorneys face when interacting with crime victims.

Bradley Weinreb is a veteran prosecutor in the California Attorney General’s Office and serves as a State Coordinator for victim advocacy and for the civil commitment of sexually violent predators. He provided an update to the California District Attorneys Association to their “Victim Rights Manual (2012),” has written extensively and trains both prosecution and law enforcement agencies on these subjects, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Appellate Advocacy at California Western School of Law. He serves as lead counsel on serious and violent felony prosecutions in the trial and appellate courts throughout California, is counsel of record for numerous published decisions, and successfully argued several cases in the California Supreme Court, including three death penalty matters. In 2010, he was selected as one of the Top 100 attorneys in California and as one of the Top 10 Criminal Lawyers in his hometown of San Diego, California.
