Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be able to:
formulate a legal acts concerning the international legal protection of children;
apply the instruments of international law and EU law in the international legal protection of children;
properly choose the legal and non-legal instruments of regulation of relations between parents and children;
work with foreign judicial decisions and apply them in the interpretation of international treaties and EU law.

  • Office for International Legal Protection of Children - common interpretation and statistics.
  • Repetition - the issue of international jurisdiction (competence), international family law, comparative questions.
  • Cross-border enforcement of maintenance - sources and their relationship.
  • Cross-border enforcement of maintenance - a procedure, the actual levels of activity.
  • International abductions - a general interpretation.
  • International abductions - procedures.
  • Specifics of evidence in international family law.
  • Other agenda of the Office for International Legal Protection of Children.
  • Case studies.
