Course objectives
The aim of this course is the participation in the international competition Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the international commercial arbitration and international sale of goods and their legal regulation (especially CISG and UNCITRAL Model Law); work with the legal case in the form of arbitration file; analyse business case involving sale of goods and international commercial arbitration; make reasoned arguments on behalf of the involved parties; present the legal arguments in the moot pleadings in front of the arbitration tribunal.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to the oral presentation in the arbitration proceedings. Training pleadings at the Faculty of Law. ¨ Pre-moots in various Czech and European universities. Competition final pleadings in Vienna.
