Prerequisites
Special part of International Law 1. Kinds of territorial regimes in international law. Terra nullius and titles of ocular, symbolic and effective occupation. 2. Territorial sovereignty and its dilemma. The legal concept of territorial sovereignty in international law and practice. 3. Grotius and Selden and a reflection of their ideas in contemporary law of the sea. 4. Evolution of the forms of diplomacy in international law. Privileges and immunities as a basis of diplomatic law. 5. The principle of the ban on use of force as a vector normative summa and their troubles. 6. International humanitarian law at the threshold and application of rules and the protection of victim of armed conflicts. Universal and European International Organisations 1. The UN Charter as a living instrument of international law. The Priority of obligations under the UN Charter. 2. The Preamble of the UN Charter (its significance), objectives and principles and their textual, systematic and teleological interpretation. 3. Structure of UN. The General Assembly as a representative body of UN: composition, powers, procedure and decision-making. 4. Security Council as a operative body of UN: composition, powers, procedure and decision-making. 5. UN Peace-operations as a tool of peace-keeping, peace-making and peace-enforcement. 6. Sanctions of the Security Council pursuant to Art. 41 of the Charter and their evolution. 7. The Council of Europe and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
