Course objectives
The Environmental direct action course should present a civic engagement through direct action – it means implementing ideas and goals into practice by individuals and without required mediators. During lessons students will have opportunities for discussions, critical assessment of methods of civic engagement and they will also be introduced to a theoretical context.
Syllabus
  • At first, students will study a theory of direct action and historical context. It will be followed by lessons with activists who will present a direct action connected to current struggles of their collectives and organizations. If possible, all students will also be a part of educational excursion and its evaluation and they will attend an action training. Team presentations will take place in the last two lessons.
