Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the situation in energy sector of countries in central and Eastern Europe and related issues with special emphasis on sectors of natural gas, oil and nuclear energy. The course will analyse specific relations between countries in the region and Russia within examined sectors and with regard to historic development, foreign policy discourse, economic trends, etc.
Výstupy z učení
Upon completion of the course students will be able to: - understand the role of energy commodities in the examined region - critically assess the role of energy commodities in Russian behaviour and behaviour of countries within the region - analyse energy sectors of countries within the region - explain the nexus between energy and foreign policy discourse of Russia and examined countries
