Course objectives
The main goal of the course is to introduce detail aspects of one of the crucial EU communitarian policies (which is Common Agricultural Policy), to the students. On successful completion of the course, students will understand not only the emergence of the CAP in the context of common market formation, but they will also be able to interpret its recent development and current issues. First part of the course will be composed of lectures and in the second part, students will learn to discuss relevant issues connected to the CAP.

Teaching methods
The basic teaching methods include lectures, class discussion (with external experts) and group projects. The group projects consist in presentations by couples of students of practical assignment in the form of concrete analysis of particular problems concerning the support of EU Common Agriculture Policy. The group projects serve to broaden students skills in team work and oral presentation. Bonus task: A one-day excursion enabling the students to become familiar with the practical side of the issue of CAP.
Assessment methods
For the course completion students have to pass the final written examination and elaborate a practical assignment during the course. Written test will be composed of 10 questions with set of possible answers (one point for each question) and five short open questions (3 points each). It will be possible to receive 25 points in total for the test. Besides this score the student may receive 8 bonus points. Successful course completion requires receiving at least 20 points together.
