  • 1. Diplomatic relations of the Holy See. The history and the actual state of the diplomatic relations of the Holy See. Bilateral and multilateral diplomacy. The development of the international relations during the pontificate of John Paul II. Poland-Holy See relations after 1989. 2. Inter-religious dialogue Catholicism in relation to three other religions: Judaism, Islam and Orthodox. The outline of these relations between and after the Second Vatican Council. Presentation of the recent development of this dialogue. 3. Capacity of the Holy See to conclude agreements (concordats) List of concordats. Examples of some concordats, e.g. with Poland and Israel. Explanation of the notion. 4. Holy See and the International Organisations. Presence of the Holy See in universal organisations (i.e. UN) and other regional organisations (Council of Europe, OSCE, WHO etc.). 5. Church and human rights Activity of the church in the field of Human Rights. Right to the religious freedom and defence of the family values. Encyclical „Redemptor hominis” of John Paul II.
