- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to:
- provide motivated and talented students with practical experiences in the field of human resource development and employment within selected employer organizations.
- offer students feedback as part of gaining their initial practical work experiences in specialized professional positions. Group workshops and individual consultations provide an opportunity to confront practical issues that students encounter during their internships with their theoretical explanations. The content of individual workshops primarily includes the reflection on the conditions of performing HR work, analysis of practical examples, and training of fundamental skills and abilities for HR/management work.

- After completing the course, students will be able to:
- apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the field of human resources development and employment in practical situations within organizations.
- identify and analyze the conditions of work performance and practical issues in the current practice of human resources development in organizations, and critically reflect on them with regard to their theoretical explanation. - navigate in managerial roles and tasks of human resources departments in organizations, reflect on them, and be able to master them in the future. - present and argue their proposals, as well as accept and provide constructive feedback. - Syllabus

- 3) Active Participation and Presentation at Seminars
- The seminar outline is adjusted to the current needs of the ongoing internship. Within the seminars, various topics related to personnel development and employment will be reflected upon:
- 1) Introduction to the course and internship process, discussion of student placements in organizations. Theory of supervision, mentoring, and coaching, giving and receiving feedback.
- 2) Seminar: Organizational structure, organizational culture, the role of the HR department in the organization.
- 3) Seminar: Personnel strategy and planning, labor market analysis, competencies in the job market, employment, and employability.
- 4) Seminar: Personnel marketing and employer branding, recruitment, selection, hiring, onboarding, and employee termination.
- 5) Seminar: Employee evaluation, compensation and benefits in the organization, employee education and development, career counseling.
- 6) Seminar: Social programs in organizations, CSR/ESG projects, quality of work life, and building a positive employee experience, workplace conflict and stress prevention and resolution.
