- Course objectives
- Students will learn principles of demographic analysis and statistics reporting, especially in the field of human resource and labor market analysis. This will include principles of time and comparative analysis. They will learn about topics of regional labor markets, labor force migration, population projections, prognostics, and human resources management in the Czech Republic at regional and local levels.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students will be able to describe basic demographic indicators of the population, including data gathering and assessment.

- Lectures are divided into the following three basic parts:
- A. Introduction to demography, demographic indicators, and their analysis (lectures 1-5)
- B. Demographic aspects of the labour market, data sources, and usefulness (lectures 6-9)
- C. Population, population development, and population policy (lectures 10-12)
