Kurz podává základní přehled teorií a koncepcí vztahujících se ke vzniku státu, národu a nacionalismu, resp. národnímu státu se zaměřením na možnosti fungování a existence národních států v rámci integračních a globalizačních procesů.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá formou přednášek a seminářů. Kurz je zakončen zápočtem. Pro jeho získání je zapotřebí přednesení referátu na zadané téma, vypracování seminární práce odpovídající publikačním standardům v rozsahu 10-12 normostran a úspěšné složení zápočtového testu. Získání zápočtu rovněž předpokládá aktivní účast na seminářích.
