Cíle předmětu
The lectures present an overview of the political systems in the Balkans since 1989 with the concentration on the Western Balkan. At the end of the course, the students should be able to describe and analyse the executive, legislative and judicial powers in all the states in the region and present an overview of the political development in the respective country since 1989 up to the present.

Metody hodnocení
To obtain the credits, the student must present a paper, give in the essay on the chosen topic related to political systems in the Balkans and pass the test. The comparative form are in the essays preferred; the essay should have 2000-2500 words. The student can get 90 points max, to obtain the credit he/she must reach the level of 54 points. The presented paper equals ten points, the essay is evaluated with 20 points and the the final test wil include six questions, each of them valued with 10 points. The deadline for the essay is 30.04.2006. A. 90-83 points B 83-76 points C. 76-69 D. 69-62 E. 62-54 F. < 54
