The course is aimed at the students enrolled in the Ma. Studies of the Political Science. The course is valued with 6 credits.

Course objectives
The lectures present an overview of the political systems in the Balkans since 1989 with the concentration on the Western Balkan. At the end of the course, the students should be able to describe and analyze the executive, legislative and judicial powers in all the states in the region and present an overview of the political development in the respective country since 1989 up to the present.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
To obtain the credits, the student must 1) present a paper in one seminar 2) give in the essay on the chosen topic related to political systems in the Balkans and 3) pass the test.
