Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to learn about the genesis of the political systems after 1989 in post-communist Europe (focus on post-Soviet area and the south-eastern Europe), to analyze checks and balances in the respective countries.

  • Post-communist countries and the transformation of the political systems in CEE, Political system of Russian federation, Political system of Ukraine and Belorus, Political system of Bulgaria and Romania, Political system of Slovenia and Croatia, Political systems of BiH, Serbia, Monte Negro, Macedonia, Albania.
