Course objectives
The course deals with notions and types of political parties and party systems. The students will have outlook on party politics in modern democracies.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain notions and concepts of political parties and party systems. They also have knowledge of current party politics.

  • 1. Introduction. 2. Theory of political parties I-III., 3. Theory of party systems I. a II., 4. Election systems and party systems. 5.-12. Party systems of France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the USA, Canada, Poland etc.
