Course objectives
The course will focus on various forms of the relationship between crime and politics. The lectures will present theoretical concepts illuminating the possible relationships between crime and politics, as well as case studies focused on specific relevant topics, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: - Describe the main forms of the relationship between crime and politics - Explain the causes, evolution and consequences of major political crimes - Discuss the differences between approaches to crime in selected regions - Analyse the manifestations of selected phenomena.

Criminalisation of political actions: a comparison of tsarist, communist and contemporary Russia 6. Constitution and crime: treason, immunity, etc. 7. Elections - a feast for democracy or an opportunity for crime? 8. Terrorism as a political tool 9. Political crimes of communism 10. Corsican separatism and its violent manifestations 11.
