Course objectives
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with procedures of preparation and implementation of effective employee development programs. Students will acquire basic concepts, knowledge and theories from the area of personnel development and will be able to apply them in planning and realization of developmental activities, and in assessing their quality. The curriculum consists of theoretical preparation and development of skills under supervision.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to:
a. know how employee development in organizations looks like and understand its importance for organizational efficiency
b. know processes related to employee development in organizations
c.apply psychological research findings when planning and realizing developmental activities
d. know the development process from needs analysis to evaluation of development effectiveness
e. identify employee development needs
f. know methods of employee development and to choose them appropriately when designing developmental activities
g. know all the aspects of designing employee development programs
h. apply theories of learning in planning and realization of employee developmental activities
i. know how to ensure the transfer of learning into practice
j. assess quality of employee development activities
k. measure effectiveness of employee development activities
l. plan and implement an interactive workshop
