Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce Roma people from Central Europe through the lense of social anthropology. Together we will look at their kinship, religion, economics, politics, as well as theories and methods, that surround romistic studies.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to: - identify main Roma groups in Central Europe - speak about reasons of their migration into and within Europe - identify cultural and social specificities of the Roma - critically analyse the use of social policies used by various states towards the Roma people
