- Course objectives
- The course will concentrate on changing concepts in and of cultural anthropology. More precisely on Time, Space, and Identity. Three workshops (26.03.2004, 23.04.2004, 21.05.2004) will be organized on the following topics: A critique of a practice: conceptions of time and space in modernist anthropology. Time in anthropology. Space and place in anthropology. Evaluation criteria: preparation and participation 30%, 1500 words academic paper based on readings 70%.
