Course objectives
This course is focused on the theoretical determination a method of approach macro-practice in social work. Is here presented the administative and participative approach to the change the social environment of the commmunities and theirs members. In more detail are discussed the methods of macro-practice on the examples as the community care and community planning, as well as are discussed in more detail the methods and practice of the need-assessment of diferent target group. Within the frame of this course students draw up a individual project of adaptation the social services to chosen target group in selected area. At the end of this coures, students should be able to: interpret theroretical context of macro-practice in social work; explain the role of social worker in macro-practice; apply the priciples of participative approach to the change of social environment of community; assess the needs of the community; practise the methods of needs-assessment chosen target groups in the field; use the community planning method for the draw up the conception of social services in the locality; manage the community planning process; evaluate the effects of social services community planning.
Learning outcomes
After passing this course students should be able to: - interpret theroretical context of macro-practice in social work; - explain the role of social worker in macro-practice; - apply the priciples of participative approach to the change of social environment of community; - assess the needs of the community; - understand and practise the methods of needs-assessment chosen target groups in the field; - use the community planning method for the draw up the conception of social services in the locality; - manage the community planning process; - evaluate the effects of social services community planning.

Teaching methods: lectures, reading, class discussion, individual project.
Assessment methods
Assessment methods: The final written test includes usually 5 overall questions, the rating of each is max 20 points; max rating is 100 and the 60 points are the minimal rating for a completion of this course. The final assessment summarize the test result and the evaluation of the individual project.
